Time has announced their Person of the Year 2008, it is this guy.

Do you know him? Looks familiar? He’s none other than Barack Obama. The picture above was a young Obama at 20 years old.
With Barack H. Obama as the next US President, the majority of people of the earth are hoping for a better future, in terms of world peace! Man - that’s how tough is his job, I’d hate to be in Obama’s shoes hehe.
So instead of Obama’s pictures, I’m showing a picture which brings a smile to millions of Americans especially, Sarah Palin’s sad face during McCain’s concession speech yesterday.
Anyway, Newsweek has released some news highlights on the election that it promised to release only after the results. Among others contained in the report are:
This is just unbelievable, a resident turned “trick-or-treatin” kids away if their parents supports Obama. Sheessh.
The boys from the original Budweiser commercial (popularly known as ‘wassup’) video is back after eight years, but now not promoting the alcoholic drink but instead highlighting the current social issues that is affecting americans. Though one is still in front of the tv watching a piece on the economy crisis instead of football, the ad managed to touch on house foreclosures, unemployment, war, medical care, fallen stock prices and a hurricane! At the end, there’s a strong political message though.
It has a sad tone but still creative! The original ad can be found after the jump.
Well - sort of - a website which asks “what if the world could vote” for the US President is inviting everyone, especially those from outside of the US to vote. I’ve voted Barack because he’s shown the qualities of a leader and I believe he could restore America’s image outside of its country.
At the time of the publishing of post, the results show there were 508 votes from Malaysia, with 92.7% of them going to Barack while only 7.3% voted for McCain. Worldwide he’s also leading with 87.4% of the total votes of 302,958. Fun to do and to know :)
