A few months back, a little known band by the name of Creaky Boards claimed that Coldplay copied their music. The song in question was Coldplay’s latest hit single Viva La Vida which the other band says copied from their own song titled “Music I didn’t write” (the irony).

Anyway, with the latest news coming out from the music scene today we can come to the conclusion that both of them stole the music, well not from each other but from guitar great Joe Satriani. He claims a substantial portion of the song were lifted from his solo “If I could fly”.

Satriani has brought this to court after Coldplay ignored his contacts. Well a good thing about this kind of ownership wrangle is we can decide for ourselves as the evidence is available to us.

Let’s take a listen shall we?

Well – I’d say Chris Martin has a tough case to answer here. Maybe he can argue that he copied Creaky Boards and that Satriani should sue them instead of Coldplay.

Watch the other artist Creaky Boards’ claim below.

Classmates.com Being Sued

A non-paying user with Classmates.com upgraded his account to premium membership when he received notification from the website that there were former classmates trying to contact him. After paying $15 and checked his account, he found out not even one of his former schoolmates tried to contact him or checked out his profile.

So now his suing.

Hmmm – we’ll see if he wins his case. If he wins, then millions of other people can start the sue-party as I’ve seen banners showing girls with the caption saying “Girl from Kota Kinabalu wants to date with you“, and the picture is a cute blonde girl who’s probably from German. I can click on the banner, join as a member and if I don’t get a date with that girl who wants to date me, I’ll sue! :P

Funny, classmates.com banner on top of the news.
