Year of the dog – the slum dogs

I’ve already heaped praised on this movie on my family blog last month and a few days ago, this excellent movie took home 8 Oscars including best picture!

Rarely have I been so excited about the best movie as chosen by the Academy as usually they’re the boring-drama type, but this movie is something different. This is not a Bollywood movie, meaning you won’t see anyone breaking into any song or dance with strangers in any part of the movie. They only had ONE dance during the end credits.

The movie is directed by the acclaimed Briton Danny Boyle, who’s previous landmark movie Trainspotting also made headlines a few years back.
