No fresh air in Sabah after the elections

People in the West of Malaysia are still celebrating the new dawn in politics, the “political tsunami” as they call it.

For us in the jungles of Borneo, the land of Sarawak and Sabah, we have become BN’s stronghold. Voice in the opposition only number at 2, one each for the parliament and the state seat. The air is still the same.

It’s very hard to understand, Sabah has good and a lot of natural resources but we need to kiss the Federal’s ass to get money so that the folks in the interior can get electricity? And how long has BN been in power but drive 30 minutes from any town in Sabah, other than KK you can reach the village without basic amenities.

Good or bad, we can only know a few years from now. Let’s not hope news coming out about politicians wasting money in casinos abroad or more land grabbing from the interior folks.

For now, let’s just rejoice with our fellow Malaysians on the other side of the sea, for now their voice has been heard.

Video below of P124 Bandar Tun Razak Keadilan supporters having a victory parade at 4am eventhough the police had already issued a warning not to hold any. Luckily no untoward incidents happened.
