The Real Giuk
WARNING. You might NOT WANT to continue if you’re currently eating (especially chocolate) and have a weak stomach.
Last Monday night, while watching “Everybody loves Raymond”, my wife went to take some chocolates in the fridge. Then she passed me me a small chocolate bar. I didn’t took my eyes off of the tv as you know, it is very seldom that we get to watch our favourite sitcoms ever since Jordan assume complete authority over the astro remote control. Besides if you missed a joke and asked someone to repeat it for you, it’s not funny anymore.
Anyway, as I was gobbling my first bite suddenly my wife scream “dear! GIUKKK!!”. Since I was certain she wasn’t referring to Giuk.net, I quickly turned to her and she showed me a LIVING and MOVING worm on the edge of her chocolate.
I quickly threw the one from my mouth back to the wrapper and checked it out. Luckily mine was clean. Heh! You think I was eating a worm right? Sorry to disappoint you.
Anyway, I took the piece from my wife (whose face has turned green btw) and checked, yes, it was indeed a worm.
You know the kind of worm that you’d see when you leave the left-over food in the “milo tin” for 2 months back in the village days, to be used to feed the pigs? Yes the same pigs that suffered the brunt of my shuriken.
So I took a picture of it and also a video, just in case you think I am exagerating some things over here. (Okay those who are eating can press Alt-F4 NOW).

Needless to say my wife lost her appetite for the rest of the night and was quite shocked that she nearly swallowed a live worm. From the video above, you can see that the expiry date is on the 20th of March 2008.
So careful when you’re eating ya? Please take a loot at your food before putting them into your mouth like my clever wife did. If she passed me the choc with the worm, this post wouldn’t exists cuz I don’t think I would realise I was eating a worm.

Nasib baik your wife check first the chocolate. But then chocolate have a history of having live worm in it especially Cadbury… hehe

sya pun pernah juga. jenama c*adbury lagi! the cover teda kuyak or anything. memang d dlm tu chocolate. but at dat time, blm ada digicam so, cannot take photo… so sya diam2 ja lah

Was it a Cadbury? Seems 2 commenters mentioned that brand. A few years ago I had the very same experience with a chocolate bar with brand name… surprise surprise… Cadbury! I should have taken a legal recourse, but didnt, which I regretted until today. Don’t let this one go away - the least they should offer you is as Kay said.

Kekekekeke.. really from the C*db*ry brand ka? Lucky I don’t buy those brand.. coz tak sedap. (according to my taste buds la) Go for Beryls!!!
And yah, you should consider suing them like Kay said, and get free chocolates for the rest of your life. LOL

ewww.. i just ate chocolates yesterday.. i am wondering whether the giuk get in while in the fridge or it is living in the packaging all this while? surely itu giuk mesti suda makan itu choc kan..

walauneh! 3 ppl also have the same experience with cadbury ah? yerhhh..
actually my wife always buy vochelle and another, but not cadbury. this was actually a gift from my sis in law for Jordan.. itu lah makan coklat anak hahaha.
she bought it from servay.
i think i need to conduct some more survey from my forum to see if anyone else has any experience.

Eeeeewww must be malaysian made cadbury. I bought one once in Merdeka Supermarket in Likas Square.
Got like that also but I still eat lah including the giuk.. yummy taste just like butod the sago worm yum yum
jk, I chuck the whole chocolate to the bin. Why? because the one i got the giuk is still alive too and not one, not two but 3 inside.
How very true imported cadbury is much nicer, probably cos they dont use palm oil inside.
Vochelle and Beryll, never tried the brands. Nice kah?
