Chocolate Rain
Okay expect me to post more videos on a Monday (seems easier for my brain - looking for fun stuffs).
Have you ever heard of the song Chocolate Rain by Tay Zonday? If you haven’t, then where have you been? Ever since he uploaded the song in April this year, todate it was viewed over 5 million times and favourited by more than 22 thousand youtube users.
Is the song catchy? Well sort of, I hummed it when I was taking my morning showers a few days back.. probably I was fantasizing of chocolate rain under the showers.. emmm chocolate..
Maybe it’s because he looks like Michael Jackson before the face restructuring.
But I really think Tay’s deep, deep voice has something to do with it. Maybe this was how James Earl Jones sounded like when he was a kid. You have to listen to the song to know what I’m talking about and maybe solve the mystery on why this song is becoming a hit (on youtube at least).
Tay was even interviewed on “Attack of the show” on G4TV. I like his other song “Internet Dreams” too. Watch Tay’z Chocolate Rain after the jump.

I totally have no idea why this video is a huge hit or why Tay Zonday is an internet phenomenon. There are catchier songs out there. When I first heard Dragostea Din Tei on drliew, I knew it’s just a matter of time that it’s gonna blare non-stop at Wisma CKS, Donggongon. But this tune? And I can’t really appreciate the lyrics either. Definitely his voice is a revelation, as well as his mannerisms. I’d expect something like this to get 100K view max. But millions of views, that’s mindblowing. If he posted this at metacafe, he’s on to serious pocket money already, via videoviews alone.

The musical arrangement is somewhat alien like… hmm very catchy. It does make your brain go high..
