AU$84 Million Porn Filter Cracked in 30 minutes

student by-pass porn filter
A 16-year old student from Melbourne took just 30 minutes to crack a new porn filter released by the Australian government barely a week ago. Then, just to rub their face in the mud, the government upgraded the software after being told of the crack, only to be cracked again, this time the student needing 40 minutes to by-pass the filter.

Though he said that not every student can do that but any computer savvy-kid can figure out how the filtering works, discover the crack for it and share it with others.

Moral of the story? Traditional parenting is the most-important factor in educating kids to stay away from the dark side of the web and don’t let your kids be computer-savvy!

Aisey - I’ve got to control my son using my laptop lah like this! He’s already good in using the touchpad.

Elaborate Wedding Proposal

elaborate wedding proposal

This is an elaborate wedding proposal which involves setting up a fake art show gallery, computer design and hours of foam-cutting using lasers.

Any guys intending to propose to your long-time girlfriend? Well don’t let her see this unless you can top it off. Any girls wants to get hitched in class? Show this to your boyfriend and ask him to top it off (there’s a risk of you being single again though).

Watch his story and proposal on video after the jump.

Err.. what did she say?

south carolina dumb answer
It’s Monday! Here’s my pick from the net’s video chart, it’s a video of the answer given by the representative of South Carolina for the Teen USA beauty pageant held last week.

She was answering to the question of why “1/5 of the US population cannot locate the US on a world map.”

Listen to her answer after the jump. You won’t get any smarter.
