Malaysians and their “spy” cameras
There’s something about Malaysians with their camera toys. I read 2 news item from The Star today and both involved the use of hidden camera. The news follows :
Terengganu Government uses CCTVs to monitor its civil servants - well well, big brother is watching you heh? I guess they need to justify the recent pay hike for the government officers. I can’t blame them but who is watching the watchers?
Peeping Tom landlord held - so this guy rents out apartment to female students and he installed 3 hidden cameras in all of the bathrooms.
Are you renting from someone now? Do you trust him? If you don’t, then you might want to carefully check your rooms or buy a hidden camera finder.

I cud think of a 100 places more ’secure’ to hide a camera then a light socket
But don’t get me wrong, I’m not speaking from experience here ok …. hehehehe …

Doesnt the hidden camera finder only finds the wireless types? If so, what if I use the wired version?

The product that I linked can find both wire and wireless, simply because it’s detecting the camera lens itself, here’s the info on the page.

It uses optical augmentation; a phenomenon whereby light reflected from a focused optical system, such as a Video Camera, is reflected along the same path as the incident light. If a Hidden Camera is illuminated and viewed with the Spy Finder, then a strong reflection from the target camera will reveal its position to the user.
The Spy Finder takes advantage of this phenomenon by using a ring of ultra-bright LEDs arranged around a viewing port. When a user scans a room looking through the viewing port, a Hidden Camera appearing in the field of view will brightly reflect the light from the LEDs.
