I don’t love you - my wisdom tooth
Well the trip to the dentist yesterday was not that bad - though I have 1 less tooth now. Apparently my wisdom tooth was in the way of the permanent one that is trying to get out. So they had to extract it yesterday. No so much pain - if you guys are ever scared of going to the dentist, I would recommend you to go to Dr Elaine Lee clinic in Damai.
She’s very gentle and I don’t know - seems like the best dentist for me. Besides, I’ve spent like almost a thousand ringgit there, maybe that’s why she’s trying very hard to minimise the pain so that I won’t have to change dentist hehe.
Anyway, while the dentist was doing her rounds - one song kept ringing in my head. It’s My Chemical Romance’s “I don’t love you”. I don’t know why I like this song so much now. In fact, I listen to their Black Parade album every day this week. Heh - me and my weird (or indecisive?) music taste.
I could be listening to Hillsong’s Praise and Worship song one minute and then koRn the next. Back when I was in Form 4/5, I listen to Petra (Christian rock group), Disciples of Christ (Christan Hip Hop group), Vanilla Ice (like everyone else - memorised the lyrics), NKOTB (yikes), Tommy Page (another yikes! but I have the mp3s though), Bobby Brown, Bon Jovi and Metallica at the same time.
Some of my friends even asked me to stop listening to rock cuz they say it causes acne kekeke.
Anyway, though I listen to My Chemical Romance, you won’t see me wearing eye-liners on my eyes. My wife won’t share with me her accessories ![]()
For me, music is just music - though I listen to their sad stories of life brokenness and despair, it doesn’t change my view on life. Life is good. I believe in God. You are what you make of it.
I hope Jordan will be like that too - living his life according to his own wisdom and not just following what other people are saying/singing.
Man I’m sure my nephew (who goes out in black outift with all his friends) will be grossed out if he reads that I am also listening to the same music as him. He will also deny that he’s related to me if I listen to Slipknot - luckily their music is too much for me.
Anyway, here’s MCR’s song “I don’t love you” on youtube.
Let me know I’m normal - share with me your (weird) musical taste.

Good to know you survived!
I’m also pretty much like you. In fact dangdut is also cool. Back when I was still staying with my parents in Kunak, my band will play songs from dangdut to rock. For me my musical choice will also depends on the mood at the time.
Every morning I will open up Shoutcast website and select genres like Smooth Jazz or Southern Country or blues or even Metal. I’ll be blasting my music, jump around the house and go to the toilet…

Dr. Elaine Lee, huh? I go to Dr. Alex Lo also in Damai. But my friend swears by Dr. Richard. ALSO in Damai. Haha.. Seems like Damai is the place to be when you sakit gigi, kan? So can go eat roti kahwin after that..
Anyways, as for song choices.. “We Built This City (On Rock and Roll)” by Starship and Def Leppards “Pour Some Sugar On Me” can really get me going.. hahaha.. still stuck in the 80’s..

I like the dentist in Damai too, but I think her name is Dr. Sharon?
Her clinic is the same row with Tong Hing, but she’s on the 1st floor.
Whenever she’s “working” on my tooth, she’ll hum some song and that made me feel comfortable. Like having a mom to sing for me while I’m undergoing something scary!

Waw.. so we have Dr Elaine Lee, Dr Alex Lo, Dr Richard and now, Dr Sharon? All these “humane” and bearable-pain-givers in Damai ah?
Is it because the name of the place? Damai = Peace? When you sit there, you’ll feel peaceful… ahhh.. ok now I’m raring to find any dentist in a place call Shiok… wait.. we have a place called Menggatal kekeke… i wonder how are the dentists over there haha.
