Hear a rat’s laughter

These scientists claim that they managed to capture the sound of rats laughing when they were tickled (the rats, not the scientists). Using a tool called “transducers” (not sure if spelling correct), these high-frequency sounds were recorded and brought down to our range which we can hear.
Makes me wonder, what do these scientists do all day? I mean, why do they want to do this? Is it so we can identify the rats laugh when they steal our food?
Anyway, hearing the laughter, it reminded me of a schoolmate who laughed just like that. Wait.. he loved cheese too! Hmmm.
Video after the jump.

You’re right, don’t these scientist fellows have anything better to research than rats laughing? The cure for cancer maybe? what an absolute waste of time and money. Yeah, Kay, they could be annoyed for all you know !
