Investigate “Project IC” - Show your support!
If you’re a Sabahan (or even a Malaysian), the Project IC issue should trouble you and cause you to lose sleep.
To benefit those who don’t know what I’m talking about - some quarters claim that there exists a so-called Project IC or Project Mahathir which was commissioned by some politicians a few years back. They registered and gave illegal immigrants (mostly from Philippines and Indonesia) genuine Identity Cards so that they become Sabahan/Malaysian and thus eligible to vote. Of course, in return they have to vote for a certain party.
An individual who was jailed under the ISA (now already released) for his involvement in this pathetic work have published a tell-all book. He has said through the media that he has betrayed his country and now wants to make good. He has offered himself available to the police to give statement.
Datuk Jeffrey also published a book which touched upon this issue.
The police are still investigating this case but it seems like they are dragging their feet. Talks in the coffeeshops say even someone from the Federal was involved too.
If your blood doesn’t get boiled by this then you may stop reading. For those genuine Sabahan who love our state, you can show your support by signing an online petition by Raja Petra Kamarudin.
The petition is asking for a Royal Commission to be set up and investigate this claim. If they’re true then take action againts those involved as this is a serious crime and a grave concern to every Sabahan.
Sign the petition and you are encouraged to pass the URL to all Sabahans you know. 600,000 illegal immigrants became Sabahan and if those responsible are scott-free, then they or others might do it again.

I heard of this before. Some folks told me when I was in Kunak, when come to election time, there will be lorries upon lorries of people to come to vote. It was said that these people were not even speaking Bahasa Malaysia properly but all had a valid Identity card.
If those special project were true, that is one hell of a boo-boo. Looking at the scale of the figures you mentioned, that is really something for us to be concerned about..
