Welcome to F*cking
This is one place you don’t want to be born in. In Austria, there’s a small settlement that is called “Fucking” since the year 1070. It was named after a man named “Focko”. When the suffix “ing” is added, which by the way means “people” in old Germanic, it becomes Fucking.
Of course, to the local people there, it means “place of Focko’s people”.
Extracts from Wiki
The settlement’s most famous feature is a traffic sign with its name on it, beside which English-speaking tourists often stop to have their photograph taken. It is a commonly stolen street sign.
So if you were born in Fucking, whatever forms you fill in will be rejected straightaway. Not only that, when people ask where you’re from, you risk being slap.
And I thought Menggatal is bad. Menggatal, in our local slang, can also mean “being bitchy”.

p/s. I think this is my only post with so many of the F word

For all the sensation that it has created, it is still a nice quiet town though..

I wonder if there are other types of places. I know there’s this place called ‘Palermo’.. in Italy or something. But will only works especially if you are from Sabah. Imagine “Joe, mana destinasi kau paling suka?”. Joe will answer “..sia paling suka Palermo bah..”

bah… long time ago i was suprised because when i was in Gaya College, i asked one of my friend who lived in a place in Penampang… i said, “geng ko p nanti?” and he replied “minintod”, at first when hearing he said that, i thought he was going down town in KK for some ‘refreshment’, so i asked him again “are you sure?” He said “ya, dakat stu bulan sudah ni, mungkin sia tidur sana la!” So again, i didn’t know there’s a place in P’pang called Minintod (sorry if am wrong).
