Do you notice the rising number of people getting killed on the roads in KK? A few years’ back, whenever an accident happened, it will get to the newspaper’s front page. Nowadays, it’s on the second or the third page.

For me, I’m not surprised at all. Even driving the short distance from my place in Beverly to Likas, I always find myself witnessing these drivers who think the road was made for them roaming the streets. Just last Friday, a big Hilux nearly hit the side of my car as he didn’t stop when he came out of the junction. I heard the screeching brake sound and I swerve to the other side of the road to avoid him hitting my car.

I don’t want to think what could’ve happened if he didn’t stopped in time as my wife and son were right there on the same side where the Hilux was about to make contact.

Anyway, the police are running a “bonus” for everyone tired of all these. Take pictures of traffic offenders, send them to their website and best picture of the day will get RM150. A further RM100 and RM50 for second and third best pictures will also be given.

So, it’s time to bring out the digital camera and do some snapping. I think I will be clicking away at the Bundusan roundabout. Unfortunately, this contest will only run until Feb 25th.
