We first heard of the word munchkin when they appeared in the 1900 novel, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz in which they are described as being somewhat short of stature, and wear only blue (wiki).

So what’s a web munchkin? Well I really don’t know, maybe anything that is small and on the internet.

What’s my post about today? A webmaster received an email from a small-time internet businessman who doesn’t get any respect on the net (see kids, if you don’t respect others, you will end up hurting them ).

His rant? Well because he was using the webmaster’s graphics on his own website to do his business. When the webmaster (read: owner) changes the location of the images, the leecher’s site got affected as well.

So hence the email. Hmmm…. so maybe that’s a web munchkin.
