Malaysian Porn Surfers
From last Sunday’s publication, the Star published a report titled “Most porn surfers from Kota Baru and Kuantan” and this same news made it to Daily Express yesterday. The report claimed the results were taken from Google Trends.
The most searched entries are “bogel” (nudity), “gambar bogel” (nude pictures), “seks Melayu” (sex involving Malays) and “cerita seks” (sex stories).
You think this results was the reason why the Kota Baru Municipal Council (MPKB) announced that it would “no longer tolerate indecent dressing” by women, both Muslim and non-Muslim last week? Hehehe.
Or is it the other way round? You know lah the perennial question, who came first, the chicken or the egg?
Correct way to pronounce Skype, Adobe and Linux
Last night I brought my nephews to look for some things in PC Fair, Palm Square Centre Point KK. One of the things that caught my attention was the USB Internet phone sold by one of the booth and the sales lady mentioned it as a “sky-pee phone”.
Luckily the name ’skype’ was written there as I don’t know why a phone has anything to do with pee from the sky. When I was in my teens, the term sky-juice was widely used when ordering for cold water (not sure if it’s still being used now), so you can understand my slight and temporary misinterpretation.
She’s not the only person who refers it as sky-pee, I’ve heard my colleagues used that pronounciation too.
Hyper and Motivational Steve Ballmer
Steve Ballmer, current CEO of Microsoft is well known to loudly and enthusiastically express himself. There’s nothing wrong with that because he can spread enthusiasm and motivation to his audience, of course that depends if you’re a windows or linux user/lover.
Today’s highlight video is a remix of his “developers developers developers” cry in a Microsoft convention. You have to see two of the videos’ original format to appreciate the remixed version. Actually these viral videos has been around long time ago but I can’t find any page that lists all the videos on 1 page, so here ya go.
