Images next to adsense now violates policy

Okay the Google Adsense team has decided to clear the confusion and straightened the records that any images placed next to the adsense ad are indeed in violation of it’s policy (even though in the past its support rep says they weren’t).

Well I’m just glad that this trick is not my highest performing ad, though the CTR was raised a little compared with no images.

I will remove them soon. I’ve removed them already. For the other webmasters/publishers, this is a new directive and was posted last Monday (my birthday) and yes, even if you put a line in between your images and the ads, they’re still violating the policy, below is the sample that is not allowed.

Thanks to Bob for letting me know.

Amazing Lyrebirds

amazing bird mimics sound
Lyrebirds have one of the best vocal ability in terms of impersonating the sound it hears. These birds are among Australia’s best-known native birds, even though they are rarely seen in their natural habitat.

In this short video, you can see and hear, the bird mimicking the sound of a camera shutter (one with the sound of its motor-drive!), car alarm and motorised chainsaw.

Video after the jump.
