Well. I’m back in the office today. I’m glad nobody missed me in the office and I managed to fully concentrate on meeting 8 (yes EIGHT) contractors to give us their price for doing renovation on our new house.
Anyway, on this post today I will tell you how to cut your updating time dramatically when upgrading your wordpress to the latest version.
Usually, when a new wordpress version comes out, there is no “upgrade pack” available for download. You have to download the whole package and only upload files other than the wp-content folders. That means we have to overwrite 90% of all files when actually, more than half of the files were the same as before.
So you will be wasting your time download all files for backup and uploading the “newer” files.
However, Mark Jaquith has made the effort and sacrificed his time to list out the changed files and you can download them to do your own upgrading.
Just download the zipped file which contain only the changed files from 2.0.4 to 2.0.5 and upload them. If you are using the wp-db-backup plugin then you need to download/upload one file inside the wp-content folder. Same goes if you are using the classic theme, you need to download the sidebar.php to replace the existing one.
All I can say is, this is a must-have if you want to save time! Click on the following link to visit Mark’s blog and download the files.

Eh, this wp-cache, how to install properly since we are using same hosting? Have tried it before, tapi when to go the options, it only display the top half, then the rest blank.
Tengok lah cam mana, I emailed exabytes already to assist. see if they can help
