Italy World Cup Champions
Well.. I was rooting for France to win this because I like Zidane but he decided to end his career in the most dramatic of ways, by head-butting Materazzi in the chest. In the 1998 World Cup finals which they won, Zidane also got a red-card for stomping on a Saudi player after he was verbally abused and the 2006 final was no different.
Walking away from Materazzi while exchanging words, the italian lad must’ve said something awful that Zidane stopped, waited for him to come and did this…
mind you, Zidane grew up in the suburbs and it is clear, he still has this thug mentality in his head. guess most great players have this extra passion and hunger for the game, that it’s hard to control their temper.. look at Cantona, Keane and Rooney.. eh or is it Manchester Utd players yang extra-extra ni? hehehe.
So.. it will be a month without good football (sorry Malaysia Cup is not even half good) until the English Premier League starts in the end of August.
Anyway, congrats Italy. Anyone knows if Little Italy is giving out free food?
