Manilow’s songs used to drive away teenagers
Okay so we know about shopping malls in the UK used high-frequency ringtones to drive away teenage gangs but in Sydney they used a little less technology research and just use common sense to remove unwanted guests.
How to get rid of people who thinks they are super cool with their loud car speakers? Beam uncool music to their ears of course.
Officials in one Sydney district have decided to pipe the American crooner’s music over loudspeakers in an attempt to rid streets and car parks of hooligans whose anti-social cars and loud music annoy residents and drive customers from businesses.
The american crooner is none other than Barry Manilow. His music is so uncool that these “cool” kids will go away.
I think even if you put up this picture in the park, nobody would want to be seen standing near it!

i agree that manilow does not have a pretty face (sometimes he looks like a bulldog!) but his music uncool? not at all to me! i love his music! oh well, that could be because i’m not a teenager. haha. anyway even when i’m young (20s lah) i enjoy manilow’s music too very much.

i try to appreciate as many music forms as possible: so I like Slayer and Godflesh equally as Il Divo and Westlife. Therefore, Barry Manilow is quite acceptable to me.
