Coming soon - MySpace for Catholics
Probably it will be named MyCatholics? ![]()
The sister who is behind the Vatican’s website is currently creating a second Vatican-approved community website, with a theme similar to MySpace.
There will be personal news updates, e-learning programs, and areas set aside for families, young people, and parishes. Collaboration is key, and that should differentiate the site from others in its genre. “People will be able to find each other and work together online, and then go back and use what they have learned or done in their own communities,” says Sister Judith.
Actually the article that I read is more on the webmaster of the Vatican site. Sister Judith is the developer of the Vatican’s website at http://www.vatican.va/ and has been working on it since the 1990s. She has expanded the site by including images of art from the Vatican Museums, a powerful search engine, and videos of restoration projects. Yeah show ‘em what u got Sista! ![]()
Don’t know why but the story moved me a bit. I thought the Vatican hired a 3rd party organisation to take care of their website. Who would’ve thought there’s a sister/nun good in web development? hehe. Anyway, you can read about her in the following link.
