Kaamatan escape begins
Okay so my leave for Monday 29th May has been approved (half of my colleagues are off too), so now I have almost a week without having to work! Yeah! For those of you in the dark, we have 2 days holiday in Sabah because of the Kaamatan (Harvest Festival) celebration. Those 2 days are 30th and 31st May, that’s Tuesday and Wednesday, leaving Monday an orphaned working day. That’s why many people are taking leave for that day to enjoy the holiday streak.
So I’m off with my family (that’s me, my wife and son) for a mini vacation in Nexus Karambunai (sponsored by my credit card - which I have to return the sponsorship back at the end of next month 
). There’s a special package just for Sabahans, aptly named “Kaamatan escape”. It cost RM260++ for the Ocean Wing room, wahh overlooking the ocean. Have to remind myself to bring my tripod.
