Get your bandwidth back for p2p connection
Recently I started torrent-ing again and noticed that my download speed was hovering around 10kB/s which was totally unacceptable. I asked around and other subscribers say their average was around 50kB/s!
So I spent one whole night tweaking and didn’t manage to improve my speed. Once I totally blocked my connection and was getting 0kB/s, luckily I remembered what I changed and reverted *phew*.
Then I came across this article. TM Net is listed as one of the bad ISP for limiting p2p connections. I googled for information and found out from other subscribers that this problem started since Feb or March this year.
Then I found one handy online tip and started applying it, my download speed increased!
The solution? E-Z. Just encrypt your torrent connection so the ISP won’t know that you are using your bandwidth for p2p connection. You need a torrent client that can encrypt your connection.
The client that can do this are Azereus, BitComet and µTorrent. The following link has a pictured tutorial on how to encrypt your p2p activity using the three mentioned clients.
