Well.. at least one price went down.

Just had lunch at Wisma Merdeka just now and my colleague says the Chicken Rice went up by a 30 cents. Even the hot nescafe there also costs RM1.50. Hmmm looks like some shops, directly or indirectly hit by the petrol fuel price hike has already increased their price.

A new device for Skype has been released. I rarely use Skype but it was a lifesaver for me last year when I had to discuss something urgently with my colleague in Brunei. Luckily we both had Skype installed and discuss some work stuff for almost an hour.

Oh.. for those who don’t know what Skype is, it is actually a software just like other IM (Instant Messaging) like Yahoo Messenger or MSN Messenger but their software revolves around the use of VoiP (Voice over IP) protocol, where you can use your PC microphone to talk to other Skype users.

You can use it to call fixed line-phones but you have to buy the credits. The other IM are also giving this feature already but Skype was the first one to offer it and theirs is much clearer anyway.

So this device works together with the software and it can be used up to 300 metres from the PC! Wow.

Anyway, with the spread of computers and broadband in our country, and if this device gets cheaper and available here, this can kill Telekom hehe.
