Watermarking your picture

I think I’ve neglected my freeware section of my blog. Well, never fear, I’ll add an entry on it today!

My post is about watermarking your picture, you know the small notice to say this pic belongs to who, usually placed at the bottom right of the image.

To do your watermarking, you need to have a graphic that will be your watermark. This is mine.

Well to create this you need an image editing software like photoshop or you can ask your friend who knows how to do it, to do it for you. And if your friend is kind enough, asks for a creative watermark like rounded corners or other fancy stuff hehe. You only have to do this once unless you want to change it in the future.

Okay while waiting for your friend to do that, jump over to www.picture-shark.com and download the latest version. There is also a simple tutorial on using the freeware. You might want to bookmark it.

So when you have your watermark image ready, just fire up Picture-Shark and follow the step-by-step guide. It’s E-A-S-Y! Even my mouse can do it on its own.

Just don’t watermark someone else’s picture ok? Only watermark yours.

And if you really don’t want other people to use your picture for profit (??), just place a gigantic watermark (with 75% opacity) in the middle of your picture.

Okay that’s it from me. Ohya, let me see your pics with watermark (if you benefit from this entry), just so that I know :)

p/s. if you really don’t have a friend to help you out with the creation of the watermark, drop me a line!
