The news of the passing-away of our Prime Minister’s “No 1 Supporter”, Datin Seri Endon Mahmood was a shock to me yesterday. It was only 2 days ago the media reported that she was recovering albeit slowly.

The news reached me only after I posted my blog entry (which I usually do early morning during weekdays), so it was too late for me to pull the entries back cuz I wanted to show my respect by not posting anything yesterday.

Anyway, hope that our PM will remain strong and continue to lead the country into a better future, eventhough he won’t have his wife beside him. They are a very loving couple, just look at them holding their hands whenever they are in public, walking side by side. Some leaders I know when they walk, leave their wife to walk behind them but not Pak Lah.

When his mother died of natural causes in February 2004, Abdullah telephoned Endon in the United States, where she was undergoing treatment.

She later told reporters that he said: “I’ve lost my mother and I don’t want to lose you too.”

Awwrghh… so sad.
