Jordan - the wizard!
Jordan during happier times

that’s how i feel right now. while i was giving Jordan a bath yesterday evening, he had a bad fall. my reflex wasn’t fast enough to catch him from falling and hit the raised tile on floor (which separates the shower area and the rest of the bathroom).

when i pull him up, i was shocked to see a cut above his left eye, right at the end of his eyebrow! he was crying, blood was oozing out and my wife was screaming.

frantically i told my wife we’ve got to bring him to the clinic. we dressed him up quickly and were in the clinic in beverly hills in a few minutes. there was no one there and we went into the doc’s room straight away.

Today’s the day to shout “Happy Bday Malaysia!”

flag42 years or 48 years? That was the question some of the Sabah politicians raised recently in the media. Their argument was that Malaysia was formed in 1963 and not 1957.

Personally I’m not really picky about the age of our independence. Maybe it’s like being a rakyat, no matter how long you were born after the independence you are still proud of it because you are a Malaysian.

But what should be stressed to the public and preferably, taught in schools in the country, not only in East Msia, is that Singapore, Sabah and Sarawak together with Malaya formed Malaysia. Of course Spore left. We didn’t join Malaysia. There was no Malaysia before 16th Sept 1963 :)

Tips on saving car petrol for dummies

Okay since we are like lame ducks just waiting for the petrol price to increase, there are actually some common-sense tips that can actually save our fuel usage. Here are a few which i found on the net.

1. Keep your car in tune.
Don’t skip your car’s service when they’re due. A poorly maintained engine can cut your petrol mileage up to 20 percent. Even a clogged air filter alone can cause up to a 10 percent increase in fuel consumption.

2. Remove unnecessary weight
The heavier the car, the more fuel is needed to move it. So remove what is not needed. You might find the missing 12-pound bowling ball in there. You can even try to lose weight (which will save you in terms of food costs as well).

3. Pump up your tires
Under-inflated tires require more energy to roll, which not only wastes fuel but also wears the tires faster. Check that your tires are inflated to their capacity.

Don’t die in Russia

So, a man died in Russia. His chinese friend didn’t want to go through all the paperwork that he kept the body in the freezer for 2 years and it’s LEGAL!

Prosecutors have said that unless new evidence turns up the man will able to continue storing his friend’s body in the freezer as it is not actually illegal in Russia.

I think this guy is just plain lazy or he has something up his sleeves. Probably he’s keeping the meat for the winter.

Look ma! no popups!

i just hate pop-ups and all these while i didn’t realise that the shoutbox i was using was giving the visitors to my blogs pop-ups! due to the effectiveness of FireFox and also IE, the pop-ups were mostly blocked but still - some users won’t get that much protection.

So, i’ve decided to remove the shoutbox from my sidebar at the moment. Besides some of the comments to my blogs were posted into the shoutbox instead of the blog comments fields.

However some comments posted on my entries surprised me though..it seems that a few think that I am atama (the kadazandusun rapper) … mentang2 lah sia chubby2 macam dia! Anyway, sorry for giving you the popups!
