Well I only managed to catch 75% of the live debate last night, the rest of the time I had to keep my son company who was playing the online Disney games. Here are my thoughts on it, however these are biased since I no longer have the confidence in our current government so these are weighted more to Anwar’s side.
Before it started, I told myself to keep an open mind and try to listen to both parties. So Anwar started off first, stating his claim that he can bring the price down 50 cent per litre. Okay good.
Then Shabery’s turn for the opening statement – and what did he say? Anwar suka mengambil kesempatan dalam kesempitan rakyat (Anwar likes to take advantage of the people’s plight). What the hell? He went into personal attacking mode right on the first round! Well that threw my “neutrality” away and I was cheering Anwar on all through-out the night.
He says taking advantage of the people’s plight? If someone is selling an overpriced food to the people then I would call that taking advantage, highlighting the people’s main problem is not.
Some of the points which I can remember from last night:
The planted audience shouting “ya betul!!” everytime Shabery seemed to make a point kinda spoil the party a bit. At the end of it, Datuk Anwar went over to Shabery’s side to shake hands with him. Shabery look a little bit confused haha.
Anyway, after the debate, the only mental image that was captured in my mind was this:

HAHAHA… yucks! Anyone noticed he was foaming at the mouth, I was like refraining myself from using the tissue and wipe my tv screen. (I know this is personal but if he can do a personal jab, then I would like to do it too.)
Anyway read more about the debate on the following links:

Watch the videos of the debate on youtube:
Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4, Part 5, Part 6, Part 7, Part 8, Ending Argument
In all, I say Anwar was the winner. What about you? Who do you think won?
Well the trip to the dentist yesterday was not that bad – though I have 1 less tooth now. Apparently my wisdom tooth was in the way of the permanent one that is trying to get out. So they had to extract it yesterday. No so much pain – if you guys are ever scared of going to the dentist, I would recommend you to go to Dr Elaine Lee clinic in Damai.
She’s very gentle and I don’t know – seems like the best dentist for me. Besides, I’ve spent like almost a thousand ringgit there, maybe that’s why she’s trying very hard to minimise the pain so that I won’t have to change dentist hehe.
The pain.. the pain.. here comes the pain….

Well. I have a toothache and so a dreaded appointment with the dentist cannot be avoided – it’s today at 10am. I’m sure 99% of you don’t like visiting the dentist (the remaining 1% are the dentist).
Actually, I’ve made regular visits for the past 2 years (before that was a 12-year hiatus since school) but everytime when the day of the appointment comes, I can feel shivers from my teeth down to my spine. I can’t even enjoy surfing the net this morning.
I did some basic searching and read some interesting stuff about dental phobia, and why some people are afraid of dentists. Here are some stuff which I found – they can be amusing or scary.
First and foremost, I would like to say I am sorry that I have misled you, my dear readers into thinking that Astro care about you and your time.
A little more than a week ago, I posted a link to a page on Astro’s website that you can use to change your subscription package. I used that form to change my own subscription, my sister’s account and my in-laws’.
However, up until last Sunday the movie package which I dropped was still available, so I rang their customer support. I was surprised that there is no request to change my subscription whatsoever. The support says no email or memo sent.
So yesterday I went to an international trade fair launch at Promenade Hotel, KK. The trade fair itself will be held in September in Likas. I helped in the development of their website.
Anyway, I don’t know what’s my point in blogging about this but the speech by the organising chairman was funny. Not funny because he made it so. He was dead serious in delivering his speech as the Industrial Minister was among the audience.
What was so funny?

Yes I am the proud owner of a new Sony Cybershot DSC-T20! That thing cost about RM1299 but I got it for free woohooo! Well not for free but it’s close.
The story goes like this. You remember my nephew who won a trip to Hollywood from the Astro movie contest? Well for the same contest, I won a Sony Home theatre for the month of February.
However, I need to overcome a few obstacles before I could get my hands on it. First I need someone to help me claim the prize and then send it across the South China Sea to KK.
So after going though several friends, I managed to coax Kay Jnr to help me. Well actually, he’s a nice guy and just one email was enough to get his help – not much coaxing. FYI, both of us never met and only knew each other through this blog.

Yeay. Glory Glory Man United!
Dissappointment in missing out the Champions League final is a little healed after seeing the following picture.

That’s Chelsea captain John Terry crying after managing only a 1-1 draw with Arsenal, effectively confirmed their status as the second best team in the league.
Yes. Manchester United is crowned England’s champ and has wrested the title from Chelsea.
Congrats to Sir Alex Ferguson and his team! See his message below the pic.

Well my friend have been approach by this online investment too. So our SMS went like this (translation in brackets).
Friend : boss – buli pecaya ka tu Euro index tu? (can we trust those Euro index stuff?)
Me : Ada yg buli. Ada yg tidak. Buli try tapi jangan telampau sampai tiada duit beli susu anak kau. (There are trustworthy programs and some aren’t. You can try but don’t use the money to buy food for your baby)
Friend : Oh tapi kerajaan Malaysia buli tutup ka tu website? (Oh but can the Malaysian government close the website?)
