I’m sure all the hardcore Sabahan bloggers out there already knew about the re-emergence of giuk.net. Kudos to webgrrrl however for reviving it so fast.  I’m dissappointed with myself for coming out with a post regarding giuk so late.

Anyway, just to provide a little bit of information, webgrrrl is now managing the site while I goyang kaki. She’s hosting the site as well as running/maintaining the scripts, so in other words, she’s running the show, she’s the MD now.  She’s free to bring giuk.net to whatever vision she thinks is best. If there’s any butt-kissing that you need to do to get your links or advertisement up there, it’s hers :) )

Personally, I’m just relieved that the site didn’t die into oblivion. Even before Facebook were uniting long lost friends, giuk were already doing that. I got stories that friends found each other through giuk and also found their favourite blogger there. For the others, the site also offers a quick look at what Sabahan bloggers were talking about, gossips and others.

So what is new with the site? Well a major difference is that giuk will only refresh the feed every day (as oppose to every hour last time). I believe this should cause less demand on the server, besides people usually blog once a day.

No difference in policy though – we still only accept blogs by Sabahan and require a link back to the site.

If you haven’t registered yet, then what are you waiting for? Register now. Actually, register is not the right word. There’s no registration for membership whatsoever, just submit your RSS (couldn’t be easier).

You’ll get more traffic, that one I can assure you but you must have a good title for your post. An interesting first paragraph is also essential hehe.

Okay before I end this post, I am thinking of having a good logo or mascot of giuk. So I’m offering this chance to any budding graphic designers/artists out there to take this challenge. Though I don’t have prizes to give away but I can give a PERMANENT LINK on giuk to your website (more traffic, more potential clients who might get your services for other works).
