A piece of news that shows you, with determination even without education, you can do anything what your heart sets out to do. A farmer from rural China spent 2/3 of his salary to build robots out of passion. His education level is only the 5th grade. Even the pleading of his wife to pay more attention to his family wasn’t entertained.

So far he has built 26 robots – all of them doing specific tasks like scaling walls, serving water, lighting cigarettes, playing musical instruments and writing calligraphy.

His passion however has plunged his family into debt. What made it even worse, one of his invention also burned down his house with almost all belongings. Now he is making the biggest one yet, an eight-legged spider which is capable of transporting a single person.

He is hoping to use it at a carnival fair where he would charge for money for a ride, hoping to pay off their debts. His story of inventions remind me of the Disney’s story “Meet the Robinsons“.
