Illicit Ohio has a set of pictures showing Mike Tyson’s abandoned mansion. It was taken in Dec 2007 and the house ownership is still on the rocks. I think 50 Cent owns it now.
Anyway, the author states that the door was open and nobody was questioning what he was doing there. A little bit of information on the property:
More pictures after the jump
A passer-by noticed a happy old lady sitting on her front step. “I couldn’t help noticing how happy you look! What is your secret for such a long, happy life?” he asked.
“I smoke 4 packs of cigrarettes a day”, she said. “Before I go to bed, I smoke a nice big joint. Apart from that, I drink a whole bottle of Jack Daniels every week and eat only junk food. On weekends I pop a huge number of pills and do no exercise at all”
“That is absolutely amazing at your age!!!” says the passer by. “How old are you?”
“Twenty-four“
There is something very wrong with the picture attached to the story from NPR. The news piece is talking about the struggles of a middle-income family in America. They featured on the Nunez family, who has been living on food stamps.
That’s a lot of food stamps! Probably they should get them on the right diet so that they won’t need food that much. I’m not making fun of fat people here ( hey I’m no mr. perfect myself :P ) but maybe if they use a different picture (or none at all), they would get more symphatisers to the cause that they’re highlighting.

It probably took hours for the author to create this video - the product is sure funny hehe. Cool song though! Its title is ‘Ante Up’ by M.O.P
I find the scene where Ernie came up from behind the sofa funny haha.
Knol - Google’s own version of wikipedia is now opened to everyone.
The most attractive difference between Knol and Wikipedia is, you can place adsense on your pages (or as they call it, your knol). That is the most attractive which I think should get your heart racing a beat or two. So if your page gets more popular, you get financial rewards too.
Other major difference is that, nobody else can edit your page. They can suggest the edits, but only the author can approve it or reject it. Once you’ve logged is using your Google account, your name will be displayed and published. To add some authority to your pages, you can verify your real name by using a phone or credit card.
So there’s no anonymous accounts behind a knol.
Google also encourages different knols on the same subject:
The key principle behind Knol is authorship. Every knol will have an author (or group of authors) who put their name behind their content. It’s their knol, their voice, their opinion. We expect that there will be multiple knols on the same subject, and we think that is good.
Adding adsense is easy, just enter your email in the settings and your address postcode.
This is another alternative for you to share what you know and hopefully, get financial rewards along the way, albeit only through adsense, without going through the hassle of maintaining a blog.
