There is something very wrong with the picture attached to the story from NPR. The news piece is talking about the struggles of a middle-income family in America. They featured on the Nunez family, who has been living on food stamps.
That’s a lot of food stamps! Probably they should get them on the right diet so that they won’t need food that much. I’m not making fun of fat people here ( hey I’m no mr. perfect myself :P ) but maybe if they use a different picture (or none at all), they would get more symphatisers to the cause that they’re highlighting.

It’s like pleading and crying to people you need to replace your BMW 7 series side mirror and you just can’t seem to find it at the local store… (hm… ok maybe not a suitable example) ha ha ha..!
