Ashley-Paul Robinson, an 18-year old footballer from the Crystal Palace youth system was sacked from his club after revealing that he was attending trials with Fulham, another football club, through the status of his facebook account. Somehow the status was visible to the London network which included 2.7 million other Facebook users, including fans of both Crystal Palace and Fulham.

Both clubs didn’t release any statement on his status yet, but his own updates went around in the football circles much to the embarassment of his current employer.

The south London club’s furious manager Neil Warnock said today that Robinson should ‘look elsewhere to further his career’, after embarrassing the team.

On Saturday, Robinson, from Beckenham, Kent updated his status on the site to say: ‘Ashley-Paul is goin fulham on monday. If i pull dis of im on dis ting!!!’

He updated his status again the following day, “Ashley-Paul Is Travling 2 Bath With Fulham Fingers Crossed. (Im lukin 2 Get Sum Tips Of Jimmy Bullard He’s ON DIS TING NO HYPE LOL.”

They say, don’t count your chicks before they hatch.

No news yet whether he has impressed Fulham, cuz if he didn’t, then I think he has to regularly update his FB status to look for a new club. Probably we need to check on Ronaldo’s FB account, see if he’s going to Real Madrid or stay with Manchester United.
