Just like in 1999, I can never forget this morning when Van De Sar saved Anelka’s penalty and crowned the King of Europe! Myself jumping up and down, my buddy also jumping up and down. We were like frog on steroids in the living room, doing hi-fives and laughing! Never mind the loss of sleep. Never mind the neighbours just woke up. Manchester United is champions of Europe! Yes yes yes!

It was a heart-stopping game, especially when it had to be decided on penalties. With Ronaldo’s missing his kick and John Terry with the last spotkick and the score tied at 4-4. If he scores he will be the first Chelsea captain to lift the trophy. My heart paused. I was ready to cry. Terry kicked to the right, Van De Sar dived to the left, but alas, God was wearing red today. The ball didn’t go in!

Heartbeat went into maximum gear. Next three kicks went in but Anelka’s was saved! Woohooooo!!! It was surreal. In 1999 the drama was done in 3 minutes. This morning it felt like 300 minutes!
