Almost everyone has a thumbdrive now and I think it’s safe to say that “thumb drive killed the floppy disk”. Nowadays you can get a 2GB Kingston thumbdrive for RM65 while for a 1GB it’s only RM40, and these prices are in KK, Sabah!
Anyway, what if you accidentally dropped your thumbdrive in public or somebody stole it from you, what kind of data or information that you will lose to some complete strangers? Enough to jeopardize your life or your career?
If you dread the day that you lose your thumbdrive then it’s time to seriously think about securing you data. If I lose my thumbdrive tomorrow or even later, I won’t have to worry as my storage is automatically locked and secured even when someone just snatch it off of the USB slot while I am at the washroom.
So what is this tool that I’m talking about? It’s called “USB Disk Pro” and I accidentally found it on pendrive’s website, while helping my brother searching for some drivers.
This tool is actually made to work for a certain brand of thumb drives but I managed to make it work with mine. However, before I proceed, let me explain how this is supposed to work with the “official” thumbs.
Three cheers for me! Yeah. Updates especially to my regular readers.
Actually, if you look back the past few weeks, this blog *never* really went on a hiatus actually. Only the posts were far apart. What happened was that I was experimenting with my own schedule and also to see how it would affect my income, particularly adsense.
Well the results were positive, though I only updated twice a week, everything else was as usual, income-wise. So I think I would keep it that way, a minimum 2 posts a week with the following “theme”.
Well it’s monday again and you know what that means on this blog, a highlight on a popular video making rounds on blogs all over.
How would you react if you threw up live on national tv? Would you ask the producer to cut to commercial? Most importantly, how embarassed would you be?
A swedish tv hostess remained cool and professional on her work eventhough she threw up while answering a live-television call. Unfortunately everything is in swedish and there’s no subtitled version on youtube. From what I’ve been reading in the comments, she said that she’s having her period, thus the sudden “outburst”.
Proceed to watch the video and don’t worry, you won’t see any of her puke, just the sound of it haha. Amazing comeback by this lady.
Shivers me timbers! It’s 19th September today. That could only mean one thing yer scoundrels, it’s talk like a pirate day!
In case yer wonderin - I’m ne’er loaded to the gunwales - for me ne’er know how to drink rum - I’m better off swashbucklin on the high seas!
Okay I admit it, my pirate talk was bad. Today is International Talk Like A Pirate Day (TLaPD), so if you’ve never talked like a pirate before then today is a good excuse.
Equip yourselves - watch a video here and study basic pirate speak here. If you want to add some more dramatic effect then go and get yourself a costume and mimic Captain Jack Sparrows (watch the DVD over and over).
Do you know that dancing the salsa burns more calories than when you dance the Samba or Waltz? Well I don’t have the hard facts but I remember I read it somewhere.
Anyway, do you know the real reason why a lot of people declined to join a dancing class? It’s because they know they can’t dance and don’t want the risk of being ridiculed in class.
Well the perfect antidote for this kind of public stigma is a private, one-on-one tutoring. If paying for a private instructor is too much, then I know the next best thing.
