Sorry for the short title, I can’t think of a title for this news I stumbled upon today. Let me try to summarize it for you.
A well-known local baseball pitcher in St Louis, Missouri (you know, where the twins are) enjoyed more than 3 hours of alcohol, then with the level of alcohol twice the legal limit in his system, drove his SUV in the early morning, speeding, talking on his cellphone and was not wearing a seat belt.
Then he crashed into a tow truck that was helping a stalled car in the middle of the road. It spun out after being cut off by another vehicle. Well this resulting accident cost the drunk man his life.
So what happens now? The father of the deceased is suing the restaurant operator for providing the alcohol, the tow truck driver for failing to move out of the way and the owner of the stalled car… for having his car stalled in the middle of the road?
Anyone wants to sue him back for failing to advise his son not to drive when drunk?
