Marissa Mayer, the product manager for Google shared some trivia on Google during a lecture. Of course the most surprising fact was the founders of Google didn’t know HTML, that was why their site was so bare.

Gmail was used internally for nearly 2years prior to launch to the public. They discovered there was approximately 6 types of email users, and Gmail has been designed to accommodate these 6.

No wonder most of us are in love with it!
