From last Sunday’s publication, the Star published a report titled “Most porn surfers from Kota Baru and Kuantan” and this same news made it to Daily Express yesterday. The report claimed the results were taken from Google Trends.

The most searched entries are “bogel” (nudity), “gambar bogel” (nude pictures), “seks Melayu” (sex involving Malays) and “cerita seks” (sex stories).

You think this results was the reason why the Kota Baru Municipal Council (MPKB) announced that it would “no longer tolerate indecent dressing” by women, both Muslim and non-Muslim last week? Hehehe.

Or is it the other way round? You know lah the perennial question, who came first, the chicken or the egg?

Since I’m not from Kota Baru (in fact I’ve never been there) I won’t know what is the social behaviour of the local men. Besides, these studies are only based on google’s search. You never know people from other cities use other search engine for their porn cravings.

And once you found 1 porn site, there are links to other sites as well so the need for search engine ends there. And the smart ones will bookmark them all. Aikk.. macam speaking from experience saja ni :P

Another point to note from the report

“Gambar bogel” is a favourite among Internet users in Kuantan, Kota Baru, Alor Star, Kota Kinabalu, Batu Pahat, Johor Baru and Petaling Jaya.

And I thought people from KK will type for “gambar telanjang” hehehe.

If you made it this far on this blog entry, you will notice that I have no point or strong opinion on this news, just that I find it slightly amusing. Besides, with all those keywords on this post, it’s actually a bum-marketing entry for the search engine hehe.
