I have a confession to make, for the past 1 year or so, I’ve been having these craving to have a tattoo etched on my body. To be exact, I would like to have a tribal tattoo design on my body. I like the design and “flair” of a tribal symbol or drawing. However, I will have my own design inked into my skin.

If you take a look at my notebook (my real book, not the laptop), you will find my sketching on tribal design all over the empty space. I guess attending meeting with government people who like to talk about stuff that is not on the agenda makes you more creative.

At first I just think of them as my doodling but til a few months’ back, I found out the name for these design is tribal.

So just what is a tribal tattoo? You can see an example on the image above.

Quoting from this page, “Tribal tattoos are instantly recognizable with their dramatic use of aggressive dark lines in jagged symmetrical shapes spread throughout the skin.” It also says that it is the most popular form of tattoos in the world right now.

Actually, these kind of tribal design is not confined to tattoos. You see it on album covers, movie posters, car stickers and some use the style on their logo (like tattoo shops).

So what’s holding me back from getting the tattoo? I haven’t come up with the design yet.
