If there’s any 1 thing that I can draw for which I am grateful for is the head of Mickey Mouse. I don’t kow why I decided to “memorise” how to draw Mickey when I was in my teens. Probably to draw them on birthday cards to impress the ladies (during that time Hello Kitty wasn’t heavily commercialise yet :P )
Anyway, now whenever my son Jordan is bored at home, he will push a piece of paper to me attached a pencil and say “daddyyyy… dwawww miki maauusseeeeee”. The light on his face when I draw that mouse is priceless. But I know when he’s more grown up, he will start to question the quality of it all.
So before that times come, I think I’ll enroll myself in Drawspace.com, a free online drawing course for everyone. There’s a level for beginners, intermediate and advance users. You need to be registered to access all the lessons and registration is free!
Then I can start drawing for him Superman or X-Men when he’s in primary school.
So… go on over there and register!
