I got this from Jeff Ooi’s post, about how [tag]Wired[/tag] magazine has an article on our country’s mentality of making it into the Msia Book of Records, no matter how big or small achievement is.

If you ask me, it’s a good showcase of inspiring people and strong-willed persons showing their boleh spirit.

It’s just that, somehow, some of the things done weren’t creative enough (I mean for me lah) or just plain, redundant. Don’t believe me?

Wait til our National Day on Aug 31, let’s see which state/agency has the biggest, longest or weirdest flag. The record keeps changing hands.. can’t someone make one giant flag that’s enough to cover the sun so others will stop trying to break it year after year?

I remember last year or two years’ back, one school in KK put up crushed-up soft drink cans and arranged them on their wire-grilled windows to form our flag… *yawn*.

My nephew was one of the sumazau dancers when Sabah hosted the longest sumazau dance and he still has the black t-shirt to prove he’s part of history now - oookay.

I haven’t seen any attempts so far in KK since the “longest top spinning” (gasing) last year and it was not just one top, but just multiple tops they continuously replace to have at least one spinning 8-| *yawwwn*.

Mannnnn am I being unpatriotic or what ;))
