On the 4th day of Christmas my true love gave to me…
Four Calling Birds

The Four Gospels: 1) Matthew, 2) Mark, 3) Luke, and 4) John, which proclaim the Good News of God’s reconciliation of the world to Himself in Jesus Christ.
* Well it’s certainly good news that the Christmas Eve and Christmas Day celebration went on without any major incident in our neighbouring country Indonesia or any other parts of the world. I can’t imagine going to church and worrying whether I’ll still be alive when the mass is over.
We should be grateful that we, as Sabahans (specifically those in KK), the only worry we have when we go to church is to find vacant seats in the church (thanks to those who comes only on Christmas and Easter only).

Three French Hens

The Three Theological Virtues: 1) Faith, 2) Hope, and 3) Love (1 Corinthians 13:13)
* well if there are people giving their loved ones 3 hens it might receive mixed reactions, you know with the bird flu and all - even french hens because the flu has reached europe.
A simple game but interesting. In it, there are sands falling and you draw the obstacles to direct the direction and flow. Had me hooked for half an hour.
Here’s a snapshot of what I’ve done.

Believe me, it looks awesome when the sands are moving heehee.
You can change your “weapon” by clicking on the panels at the bottom. Careful though, you might destroy your structure if you choose the wrong tool. I won’t tell you, you just have to try it out yourself.
One thing I advise is to click on Namekuji so the “erasing ball” will not bother you.

Two Turtle Doves

The Old and New Testaments, which together bear witness to God’s self-revelation in history and the creation of a people to tell the Story of God to the world.
* A simple Christmas for us this year. Not much hoohaa but the most important thing is spending every minute of the day with my wife and son - nothing beats that!
Received lots of SMSes but a few I don’t know who was the sender. You know lah people now change their numbers like changing their pants and while we don’t know their new number, they still have ours.
So, my advise to you, if you want to send an sms to a “long time friend”, include your name at the end of the message. it will save one or two “ooh it’s you”-kind of SMSes :-D
Yes. Contrary to what most people think, the 12 days of Christmas are not the 12 days leading to Christmas. The 1st day of Christmas is the day itself. This is because the traditional church celebrates Christmas from when the Word is proclaimed (the birth of Jesus) usually around Christmas Eve until 5th January, which is the Epiphany.
So, what does the 12 Days of Christmas means? It’s not just a silly song for children, historians says all the symbols are mnemonics used to help children remember the gifts of the church and God.

A Partridge in a Pear Tree
The partridge in a pear tree is Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, whose birthday we celebrate on December 25, the first day of Christmas. In the song, Christ is symbolically presented as a mother partridge that feigns injury to decoy predators from her helpless nestlings, recalling the expression of Christ’s sadness over the fate of Jerusalem: “Jerusalem! Jerusalem! How often would I have sheltered you under my wings, as a hen does her chicks, but you would not have it so . . . .” (Luke 13:34)
